New haiku

look east
sunflowers at night -
waiting

morning –
chirping birds
and irksome fly

waiting for rain
not like the mosquitos
wait of rain

warm coffee
wandering thoughts;
winter clouds

deep breath.
Anyhow
deep breath

overcast!
the air here just hanging
just hanging there

bright night ;
walks and talks
on the phone

visualized –
I look for the moon
the super moon

warm days ;
a bird on a branch
is swaying

aroma
lingers in the kitchen ..
it’s dinner time

sunlight
through the window ;
a fly buzzes

this morning
moon sitting in a tree;
it is fun.
....
morning ;
at cloud’s edge
a slice of moon

November –
nice to wake
with sunshine

it’s cool !
barefoot
In the grass

warmth !
snow slides off the roof
because

dark morning
and the scent of rain –
halfway

lightning again
the same place again –
it’ll rain

dark morning –
all things point to
the start of winter

behind glass
alone
with bubbles

Kizhi Pogost (Russian: My photo)

Kizhi Pogost (Russian: Кижский Погост) is a historical site dating from the 17th century on Kizhi island. The island is located on Lake Onega in the Republic of Karelia (Medvezhyegorsky District), Russia. The pogost is the area inside a fence which includes two large wooden churches (the 22-dome Transfiguration Church and the 9-dome Intercession Church) and a bell-tower. The pogost is famous for its beauty and longevity, despite that it is built exclusively of wood. In 1990, it was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites and in 1993 listed as a Russian Cultural Heritage site.

New haiku

temple garden
a boulder stands
looking at stars

fingers
on the piano keys
quietly singing

the geese fly off ..
through the open window
singing others

by nightfal
skims a river of stars ;
winter's chill

soft chords
on the piano keys
fall snowflakes

New haiku

wisteria blossoms -
you smile at life
you smile at death

early morning
the healing therapy
of birdsong

whole year
the same fan
with the same motive

this  is mine !
snow seems lighter
on my hat

snow clouds
passing at midnight;
the cold!

tinkling
join to the snow
wind bell

A Cherita

A Cherita consists of a single stanza of a one-line verse, followed by a two-line verse, and then finishing with a three-line verse.
It was also inspired by Larry Kimmel's sensitive recognition of a shorter form contained within the opening three-verse stanza of ai li's LUNENGA, which had been created on the 27 May 1997

My first attempt to write Cherita

november snow

I was hurrying to work
voice of my wife stopped me

sometimes she speaks things
she wants to express by cry -

New haiku

it is silent
from the day it is made —
the scarecrow.

The autumn woods;
Here and there
Trees yelow

november dusk
a cat's eyes catch
the headlights

mountain path
wind to play
with me

sparrows
merciless to them
the frigid air

New haiku

on a bank
the waves cannot wash —
the first snow.

first snow
enough to witen grass
in the garden

in different  sides
crow turns his head;
autumn wind

in different  sides
weathercock turns;
autumn wind

From the window
Watching snowflakes.
How  will they fall?

New haiku

fragrant pines
doors of a temple gate
open

winter
day after  day
in its burrow.

And I recall
The garden in fallen leaves.
Winter begins

a sleepless night
sound of rain
says what I think.

Halloween

Halloween Party
Blood-Red
Bite Night

beginning of winter
spirits of the Dead
return.

New haiku

waking from a dream ;
suddenly I find
I have wings

in one side
or in the other..
autumn wind

deep longing -
the first scent
of the snow

drifting snow
taking another look
at my walk

summer evening
in high spirits
time passes

New haiku

in humility
trees leaning
in the wind

winter begins...
against my window
white moths

snowflakes
scintillate and
melt

autumn chill --
wail of a stray dog
through the silence

first snow
disappears
shade of green
